Bert Hardy the photographer for the Picture Post records the day to day running of this busy wartime station recording tearful goodbyes of parting couples. This was for an article running in the Picture Post on May 23rd 1942, called Wartime Terminus.

This reminds me of other goodbyes at train stations…
